The Goddess Durga is the protective form of the Fire-Goddess who removes all negativity, destroying all the anti-Divine forces. She is the Divine Mother and represents power, strength, morality and protection. She protects her devotees from evil powers and safeguards them. The word Durga, in Sanskrit means "the invincible" - She is known as Shakti (Power) and is the Mother of the Cosmos with infinite power to protect her devotees from all kinds of destructive forces. Goddess Durga’s energy is always benefic as long as we have devotion to her. She protects the Earth as the Universal Mother. One can chant her mantra any time one wishes the grace and protection of the Goddess.
